  2. My students have loved his books. Mr. Angleberger's The Strange Case of Origami Yoda was a Utah Beehive Award Nominee book in the 2011-2012 school year. They were always checked out. Thank you for this opportunity.

  5. My son is obsessed with all things origami and Star Wars. Mr Angleberger has been very kind to carry on an e-mail conversation with him and even publish some of his origami designs on his website. We purchased a paperback copy of this book from the Scholastic Book Fair and it's already looking worn out. My students are clamouring for it. It's a hit!

  9. I bought Origami Yoda for my nephew for Christmas. At first he was polite and more interested in the Legos from Grandma but by that evening he was hooked! Last I heard he was on book 3 and getting my brother to read them too so they can discuss them. I love that Angleberger took something that was so amazing to my generation and made it cool for our kids.

  11. Origami Yoda is a Oklahoma State Sequoyah Children's Book Award Nominee this year. I will not be surprised if it wins the award; it's a popular choice! Our kids love origami and I cannot keep enough books to keep them happy!

  12. Tom Angleberger spoke in Kansas City last year and really sparked my interest in his work which I have have passed along to my students ( not that they needed much encouragement with his great titles). When I booktalk "Origami Yoda", which is one of this year's William Allen White Award nominees, I always demonstrate how to fold their own "Yodas" (instructions on his site).
